How to set up the integration between Smokeball and DecisionVault?

Setting up and using the integration involves the following steps:

  1. Authenticate Smokeball with DecisionVault
  2. Link the Smokeball matter to the DecisionVault one, and sync over contacts

1. Authenticate Smokeball with DecisionVault

To authenticate Smokeball with DecisionVault go to the integrations page - and look for the 'Authenticate with Smokeball' button. Follow the prompts to login to Smokeball and to give DecisionVault access. 

Note: this only stores an 'access token' in DecisionVault to access Smokeball on your behalf. We don't have access to your login details, and you can always remove DecisionVault's access to Smokeball by removing the token from the integrations page.

2. Link the Smokeball matter to the DecisionVault one, and sync over contacts

After you authenticate with Smokeball, it shows up as a system to sync with on the matter detail screen:


You can then search in your existing Smokeball matters (it will search on the client name in Smokeball on open matters) and map the existing contacts on those matters to the people on the DecisionVault matter.
