How to trigger a password reset for a client user
If one of your clients is having trouble logging in (such as forgetting their password) you can easily trigger a password reset email from within your firm's portal.
From the left-hand menu under the Workspace section, click on Client Users. This screen lists all the individual users who have been invited to complete intake forms or collaborate on matters.
Search for the client then click on the user’s email address to open their detail screen.
- Click the yellow “Trigger Password Reset Email” button. This will immediately send an email to the client with a secure link to reset their password.
This function is especially useful when a client reaches out saying they can’t access their intake portal or have lost their original welcome email. The password reset link is valid for a limited time, so encourage the client to check their inbox promptly.
NOTE: Make sure the client checks their spam or promotions folder if they don't see the reset email within a few minutes.
