Can I change the account owner of my workspace?

You are able to transfer the account owner role to from a current user to another admin user. You can also use this same process to update the account owner's email address. Here's how you can do it:


  1. Go to Settings > Firm > Users then click Manage.

  1. From the Firm Users list, click on the Transfer Account Owner button.

  1. Select the new account owner from the "Transfer to" dropdown list and click Proceed.

Note: For users to show up in the "Transfer to" list, they must to be an admin user, and have accepted the invite.

If you have transferred the account owner role to a new user, you can choose to remove the previous user or assign them a different role if needed.
